讲座主题：A Hybrid Algorithm for the Unilateral Transportation Problem

讲座简介：Motivated by the practice of leading express delivery firms in China, we study a new unilateral transport problem, seeking for optimal cyclical vehicle routes that minimizes the total transportation cost while satisfying shipping tasks. Particularly, some realistic features are considered: a toll-by-weight cost scheme, a heterogeneous fleet of vehicles, and a maximum length limit for routes. We first build a set-based model for this problem, then propose an iterative Benders decomposition solution approach, and design acceleration techniques to speed up running time. Extensive computational experiments based on real data substantiate the effectiveness and applicability of our approach.

主讲人简介：

    秦虎，华中科技大学管理学院教授，于2002、2005年在华中科技大学自动化学院获得学士、硕士学位，2011年在香港城市大学商学院获得博士学位。主要研究方向包括智能优化算法设计，车辆路径优化，集装箱装载问题，码头集装箱调度问题，流水车间调度问题，数据挖掘与机器学习。已完成国家自科基金项目1项，正在主持1项国家自科基金面上项目，正在参与国家自科基金国际合作重点项目2项，国家自科基金重点项目1项，国家社科基金重大项目1项。在英文SCI/SSCI期刊上共发表论文30余篇，其中包括Transportation Science （TS）3篇，European  Journal of Operational Research （EJOR） 11篇。秦教授2012年获得湖北省楚天学者称号，2013年获得华中科技大学学术新人奖，2014年获得华中科技大学华中学者称号。自2015年担任物流系统工程专业委员会委员，自2016年起担任管理系统工程学会秘书长。
